Hello. Massage has been part of my life for the past 20 years.  During this time I have had the pleasure of gaining certification in several specialized fields. I have had training in Prenatal massage, Active Release Techniques, Reflexology, Shiatsu and Thai massage.  I am also a certified Equine Sports Massage Therapist and a lifetime member of the International Sports Massage Therapy Association.

The introduction of Cold Laser Therapy to my world has been an exciting adventure; opening new avenues for healing that I had never thought possible before.  Through Cold Laser Therapy I received advanced certification for Veterinary Chiropractitioning.  This is a special hybrid certification that allows me to provide vital chiropractic services to animals that may otherwise fall between the regulatory cracks in the system.  I am available to see animals in two different locations. "House/Barn" calls are available by scheduled arrangements.

The recent introduction of ASEA to my life has been almost as life altering as cold laser therapy in the most positive of ways. When learning about laser technology, there are some basic concepts that should be understood.  A laser is basically a focus beam of light that emits photon energy.  When the light is focused properly, all the photons are traveling in the same direction and the the same wavelength; this is also known as coherent light. When light is not focused it scatters in all directions and becomes diffused. This is called non-coherent light.


We use laser to listen to our favorite music CD’s,  to measure distances, temperature, and speed.  Even though Einstein was the first to talk about the idea of light energy, our bodies have been using that same kind of energy to communicate since mas was created.  As documented in James L Oschman’s book “Energy Medicine:  The Scientific Basis” cells communicate to one another through coherent light.


Low-level lasers (3LT®) are different than more publicized heat lasers used in many surgical procedures to cut, and cauterize tissue.  Low-level lasers (3LT®) do not have a thermal effect, and are used to stimulate rather destroy tissue.  These types of lasers have been in use for over 25 years, and there has yet to be one recorded side effect.  Low-level laser (3LT®) studies have been done and have proven to be effective in many cases, but it was the ERCHONIA® laser that made history by becoming the first 3LT® laser in the world to gain FDA market clearance for the treatment of chronic neck and shoulder pain. Stress: Everyday hassles like running late for an appointment or working long hours to meet a deadline can cause nerve irritation and inflammation. Experiencing letdown after stress can have the same effect. "The migraine doesn't happen when you finish your deadline but it can happen the next day" says Stephen D. Silberstein, MD, professor of neurology and Director of the Jefferson Headache Center at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia.

Alchohol: Alchohol causes nerve irritation. Also, many sufferers are sensitive to chemicals in red wine, scotch and bourbon.

Food/food additives: You may be sensitive to chemicals in chocolate and aged cheeses, as well as additives like the artificial sweetener aspartame. Other common culprits include raw onions, citrus fruits and juices, processed meats, the flavor enhancer MSG and sulfite preservatives found in baked goods and canned food.

Glare: Nearly 90% of all migraine sufferers are sensitive to light. In a study published in Nature Neuroscience, researchers discovered a pathway in the brain that links the visual system to that which produces head pain. 

Hormone Changes:Sixty percent of women who suffer from migraines do so when estrogen levels drop (such as before menstruation starts)  

Intense exercise: It seems to help release nitric oxide - which can cause nerve irritation.

Cigarette smoke: It can cause nerve irritation.

A change in weather:  Changes in barometric pressure and cold or humid weather can alter your body's chemical balance.
